'The Blues Brothers' (1980)

Akyroyd and Belushi represent the beginnings of a great collaboration with Aykroyd writing as well as acting while Belushi portrayed the slob with expert timing. They were the new Lemmon and Matthau.

They hit the big time with their 'Saturday Night Live' creation The Blues Brothers which was made into the cult film of the same name and even spawned hit records, but in 1982 Belushi overdosed. He was set to play what would become Bill Murray's role in 'Ghostbusters' with Aykroyd.
