The US music producer, famed for the Wall of Sound recording technique, has been convicted of murdering actress Lana Clarkson, after a five-month retrial.
Spector pleaded not guilty to the second degree murder of the 40-year-old actress, who was shot in the mouth at his home in Los Angeles in 2003.
After the jury came to a unanimous guilty verdict, he was remanded in custody until sentencing on May 29.
Currently serving time, Spector's conviction carries a mandatory sentence of 15 years to life imprisonment.
