The top 10 worst movie accents
4. Charlton Heston – ‘Touch of Evil’ (1958)
Orson WellesÂ’ sublime film noir sees the master director on blistering form, casting himself as a crooked cop on the America/Mexico border. All very well and good until you throw Charlton Heston into the mix with a ridiculous tan and an infrequent Mexican accent.
It doesn’t help that Heston has an odd habit of repeating himself, i.e. “Where’s my wife? My wife!” and “You framed him! Framed him!” Never before had a bad accent been so resonant.
