Jennifer Garner has become the target of a hate campaign by fans of her ex-lover Michael Vartan - after he was axed from her show 'Alias'.
The angry supporters believe handsome Vartan, who played Vaughn in the hit drama, was forced to leave because Jennifer felt "uncomfortable" working with him once she started dating now-husband Ben Affleck.
After failing to save him from the axe, fans sent out letters full of false allegations about the sexy actress, who dated Vartan for several months after splitting from first husband Scott Foley.
According to America's New York Post newspaper, the missive wrongly claimed Jennifer banned people on the 'Alias' set from mentioning Vartan's name and insisted everyone must be polite to Ben.
The letter also alleged cast and crew were ordered to applaud Jennifer at the end of every scene and that no one was allowed to speak or look at her once filming had finished.
An 'Alias' spokesperson strenuously denied the claims, saying: "This letter is so not true! All of this misinformation is being put out by Vartan's fans, who are angry about what happened with his character.
"Ben has only been to the set twice in the past year, and, of course, people say Michael's name - they love him."
