The beautiful Library of Birmingham is one of Europe’s largest public libraries and a standout piece of modern architecture that you need to visit during your trip to Birmingham. Visitors can explore reading rooms, the historic Shakespeare Memorial Room and the rooftop garden terraces, which offer panoramic views across the city skyline. The Library of Birmingham opened in September 2013, replacing Birmingham Central Library. There are some fantastic rare books, archives and photography pieces you can see during your visit.
