Vertical industry marketing is the new fast lane for hosted UC service providers, a research has found.

Eastern Management Group, a world expert information technology strategic research company that delivers market and product research, has identified vertical industry marketing as the new fast lane for hosted UC service providers.
The group has recently completed its four-year study of the UCaaS market, which analyses vertical market data from more than 3,500 IT managers around the world. Entitled “Worldwide Hosted PBX Market 2017-2022”, it explains how UCaaS vendor profitability can be increased through vertical industry marketing.
It says that the key is to become a trusted partner of a large enterprise to make more profitable sales even to the SM. Examples of great targets are the healthcare industry and (due to its growing dependence to video) and education market (due to its growing need to mass communication systems for classroom security). By matching the industry needs with the right features (e.g., network connectivity, voice calling, failover to PSTN, caller ID, administrator Web portal) and even ecosystem partners, the report said that it would be a win-win for both the hosted PBX vendors and customers.
