'Coronation Street' actress Kate Ford is quitting the hit soap, it has been claimed.
The brunette star, who plays super-bitch Tracey, is to leave the show when her contract expires.
Ford had been rumoured to be quitting the series earlier this year but was persuaded to stay on by bosses after they promised her several exciting storylines with her on-screen boyfriend, bullying builder Charlie Stubbs.
However, despite the scriptwriters fulfilling their promise the actress has made up her mind to now walk away.
A source said: "She was due to leave this year but was lured to stay by the blockbuster storylines with Charlie - but she's determined to go this time."
Corrie bosses are now reportedly putting together a lucrative £100,000 a year offer to convince Ford to stay.
They have already been rocked by the news Richard Fleeshman, who plays schoolboy Craig, Bradley Walsh, who portrays factory boss Danny Baldwin, and Debra Stephenson, who plays Danny's ex-wife Frankie, are all leaving.
