Coronation Street's Katy Harris finally loses it with bullying dad Tommy tonight and bludgeons him to death.

He and mum Angela convinced the teenager that older boyfriend Martin, with whom she became pregnant, was having an affair with Sally.

Katy was persuaded to abort the baby rather than bring it up with a cheater for a dad - but she is devastated when her parents admit that they were wrong, and that Martin was innocent of playing away.

Tommy shows no remorse about the mistake, which enrages the troubled youngster, played by Lucy Jo Hudson, even further.

In a moment of madness, she picks up a wrench and bashes Tommy over the head.

Meanwhile, Martin, played by Sean Wilson, is drowning his sorrows after hearing that Katy has got rid of his baby.

Little does he know that things are about to get much, much worse, when he is framed for killing Tommy.
