Scarlett Johansson wants to clone herself - so she has company.

The screen siren, who is replicated in her new action film 'The Island', claims she would love to have a double of herself in real-life so she could have a constant companion.

She revealed: "It would be great fun to have someone you could go to the movies and have dinner with.

"She would be my special friend. Plus, I could send her to the gym instead of me when I didn't feel like going!"

The 'Lost in Translation' star says she would also use the clone to perform saucy stunts to divert unwanted attention.

She added: "When the paparazzi are after me as I am trying to buy a pizza, she could take off her top outside the restaurant to divert attention."

Meanwhile, Scarlett is said to have fallen in love with new co-star Josh Hartnett.

The stunning actress - who was said to have ended her relationship with Hollywood heartthrob Jared Leto earlier this year - has reportedly been on a string of romantic dates with her fellow 'Black Dahlia' actor.

A source said: "There was a real spark between Scarlett and Josh. Romance is definitely in the air. They have been on several dinner dates together."
