Bellrock Technology to be Mentored by GCHQ

GCHQ, an intelligence, security and cyber agency, has announced that it will mentor 10 tech start-ups, including Glasgow-based Bellrock Technology. The 12-week programme will focus on machine-learning, data science and artificial intelligence.

A spokesperson for GCHQ said: "We're pioneering a new kind of security for an ever more complex world and businesses can play their part in helping to keep the UK safe.

"This 12-week programme will give these companies, using cutting-edge tech, unique access to GCHQ technologists to help hone their products - from helping to prevent the spread of fake news to countering people trafficking."

Bellrock Technology's chief executive Adam Brown said: "I and everyone at Bellrock Technology are delighted to be the only Scottish company invited to take part in the GCHQ Innovative Co-Lab. It is an incredible opportunity for us.

"Our selection is a huge boost to Bellrock Technology and a vote of confidence for the unique approach the company offers in delivering data analytics through our Lumen software."

The GCHQ Innovation Co-Lab is a joint venture with UP Ventures, a global tech accelerator and The Landing, a tech mentorship hub based in MediaCityUK in Greater Manchester.
