New reality series Celebrity Wrestling has got off to a spectacular start.

The first show in the bizarre new series saw celebrities such as James Hewitt, Iwan Thomas and Jeff Brazier involved in a number of physical confrontations.

The first bout pitted Hewitt, aka "Gentleman Jim", against horseman Oliver Skeete, known as "Rebel Rider".

But some of the most entertaining action came from the female bout with Jenny Powell, "The Avenger", taking on Playboy model Victoria Silvstedt, "The Ice Maiden".

There was even room for Olympic gold medallist Fatima Whitbread to make a guest appearance as "The Masked Celebrity".

The show pits two teams of celebs against each other in various events.

Next week will see page three girl Leilani up against Annabel Croft and Big Brother winner Kate Lawler take on Michelle of Liberty X.
