Perhaps what is most expected from the auto industry today is the massive introduction of self-driving cars. This is not the first year that they have been talking about this, and Elon Musk promised that by 2020 we would all drive cars without drivers.
Tests of such vehicles are carried out in many countries, and in America, in some states, their commercial exploitation begins. So, now we are at the very beginning of a transportation revolution that will make driving a car cheaper and safer. The reason for 9 out of 10 car accidents is the human factor. So why is the adoption of autonomous cars not going as fast as we would like it to be? Technical problems on this path have already been practically resolved, and the high cost of autonomous driving systems, legislative issues in this area and the psychological unwillingness of many people to trust a car without a driver are still obstacles today - simply, the fear of something new.

The bottom line, in short, is this: a connected car can exchange information with other connected cars and road infrastructure, as well as receive data about other road users (pedestrians, cyclists, etc.) or obstacles on the way.
The main goal is to improve safety and prevent accidents, as well as optimize routes. The idea of a connected car is that cars should connect to a wireless network and exchange information about speed, the direction of movement, traffic, repair work, etc. with each other in order to warn the driver and help them avoid a collision or change route if there is a traffic jam ahead.
Another technology of the future that everyone has been talking about for a long time is environmentally friendly transport - that is, electric cars and hydrogen-fueled cars that do not create harmful emissions when driving.
Now, however, there is more and more information that electric cars are far from being as environmentally friendly as their manufacturers and various eco-activists suggest to us. The main problem is that the production and disposal of electric vehicles (primarily their batteries) creates an even greater burden on the environment than conventional vehicles.

Today it is difficult to imagine a car without infotainment systems. But in what direction will they develop? Already now, there is a clear tendency towards an increase in the number of displays in the cabin, an increase in their size and unification within the framework of unified systems that display information about the parameters of the car and display various content - navigation, news, entertainment, etc.
For example, the Chinese technology company Xiaomi has presented its development - a smart screen designed for cars that do not have such an option. The technology was named Carrobot Smart Head-Up Display. The screen has a voice control function, navigation, the ability to independently build a future route with the output of directions to the driver. Wide functionality allows drivers to be minimally distracted from the road, reducing the risk of a traffic accident.
