Locals in India said that Sudama’s weird addiction started as a dare when she was younger. They added that Sudama never had to visit a doctor or feel hunger.
Sudama, according to locals loves sand like sugar and is the only one in her family with the weird eating habit.
Sudama said: "I eat sand daily, about one kilogram and three or four times in a day.
"I never feel sick but without eating sand I do not feel hunger.
"My economical condition is not good but I am fond of eating a good healthy diet.
Sudama added: "Before marriage my father and my brother arranged sand for me and after marriage my husband Krishan Kumar arranged sand for me.
"When I came first time in my husband's home everybody felt surprised to see that a bride eats sand."
