Smart Schools

Many schools from all over the world did not have a classroom with computers 30 years ago. Today, the majority of learning institutions have laptops and high-powered computers with students having their own smartphones connected to the Internet.

Such advancements in technology are pushing Melbourne’s independent schools to start planning for the future. They are becoming high-tech centres teaching students about new technology because they are aware that old-fashioned lesson plans and computer-less classrooms will not help their students thrive in a technology focused job market. So, they put more weight on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects. They also invest in educators who can teach coding and other advanced subjects.

Many schools from all over the world now have robotics laboratories, multimedia rooms and are using social media to connect to educators internationally. These benefit students as they are being prepared for the new world.
